Greetings friends and family!!

Here is our latest family and ministry update.  We trust you will enjoy reading about how God is at work  around our neighborhood and the world.

On the family side, we are just about halfway through the soccer season and James scored his first goal in “Scrimax”. Good job buddy!!!!!

And now for our most current prayer letter.

Enjoy our Ministry and Family Update for July, 2008.

Here is our most recent prayer letter.

We had a fun April in the St. Angelo household with several visitors, more soccer, and a “Corporate 5Krace” that Marc, Kim, Kelly and Rachel participated in with the rest of the 230 member Campus Crusade for Christ team.

I had the privilege of “pacing” Rachel in her first ever 5k (3.1 miles) run. She did great!! After the opening half mile or so of bobbing and weaving through the crowds, Rachel kept an even pace through much of the race and her last mile was her fastest mile of the race. She finished in a little under 40 minutes.

May will include an end to Juliet’s first season of soccer (she loves playing soccer), two performances of The Jungle Book play, school graduation ceremonies and a homeschool conference for Kim and I.

Also, here is our most recent prayer letter.

Greetings Friends,

Here is our family and ministry update for March.

I traveled in the begining of the month. Kim had a great experience with the two big girls and her Bible study, promoting a showing of the film “Magdalena: Released From Shame”, which will be shown at several homes in Waterford Lakes.

Well, it is offical. As of Friday evening, Kim and I are soccer parents.

For Christmas, Juliet’s grandma Saint signed her up for a ten week soccer skills training course on Friday evenings. It is a fun class where the kids are on teams of4-8 kids and they do 8 different stations/drills.

For the first night, we brought the family and Kim got to meet a mom who’s son is on Juliet’s team (Cobras). We also got extreemely wet as the practice started in a light drizzle and the rain built over time to a pretty steady rain.

The Cobras, and their team Dad.

While Kim was on the sidelines meeting a new friend, snaping pictures and counting heads (it is easier when the kids are all huddled under a big golf unbrella), I was on the field as an instructor.

It was a lot of fun running a scrimmage (8 different times) , meeting and encouraging the kids to go after the ball (Juliet needed no encouragement as she felt as though she was entitled to keep the ball at all times, nice and aggessive, but not mean about it) and meeting the team moms and dads, who take their team from station to station with a short drink break in between.

Happy Juliet and dad

Thanks for reading.

Here is our most recent family update that we send out to many of our friends. We trust you will enjoy reading it.

Newer and Improved

Today we justed updated our blog with a newer family picture. We still only have Yukon’s puppy picture, but he likes to hide from the camera, thus no new picture of him.

Do you know what kind of photographer likes to take pictures of dogs?

Answer: Puparazzi

(Crickets chirping)

Sorry for being away for long! Since February we have had a fun and busy and interesting life.

We spent the summer in Fort Collins, Co serving on Campus Crusade’s conference team, helping our staff get trained to reach more people with the gospel. One fun addition to our typical summer was that our neices, Jeanette (17) and Rebekah (14) joined us out there as well to give us a dose of what life is  like with teenagers. (Gulp) :-)

On the drive home, we took Route 66 for part of the way and had a great time seeing friends in Dallas and experiencing some cheap touristy things along the way, including Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, CO, the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX, the Route 66 Museum in Clinton, OK, the Museum of Florida History in Tallahassee, Fl and Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, FL.

Now that we are back home, school is in full swing and Kim is busy as an officer in our homeschool group, Vine Ripe Kids. The three “big girls” are homeschooled, involved in a book club, visiting residents at a local assisted living complex and they will be performing in a youth theatre production of 101 Dalmations ( I think they will be dogs in the show). James and Abigail are doing their best at tagging along with the big kids and trying to distract the other kids from doing their school work. Marc? well he is working on an interesting project at work and he is still running and training for the Richmond (VA) Marathon in November.

That’s all for now.

Gainesville Marathon

On Sunday, February 18th, Marc ran in the Five Points of Life Marathon  in Gainesville.  His time was 3:37:28 which put him in 22nd place overall and good enough for 2nd place in his age group.  Marc beat the 3rd place runner by only one second.

He said that the first half of the course was more interesting than the second half and he had pretty good weather for the race, the race t-shirt is nice (too bad Rachel is the only one who wears it as it makes a good nightgown).  The post race food was all the pizza he could eat, peanut butter cookies, bananas and more.

That was the fun part of the day (for Marc), on the way home the tranmission on our Grand Caravan went out.

Take a look at our February Prayer Letter that includes some of the results of the Athletes In Action Super Bowl Outreach and Kim’s training experience at Campus Crusade’s New Staff Training, held in Daytona Beach, FL.
