Climbing Trees

This morning as I left for the office, James and Juliet worked on their decision making processes…without even knowing it. As I’ve watched my kids engage in the lost art/pray ritual of climbing treesI notice that at times they get stuck and come down. However, i also see them get stuck, come down a few branches, they go up even higher on their new route.

You might say that you can learn decision making playing video games. Yeah, you can, but how much skin do you have in that game? If you make a bad choice and fail, just hit the restart button.

Kim and I recently returned from Campus Crusade for Christ’s National Conference in Fort Collins, CO. While there, we reconnected with friends, and listened to great speakers like Josh McDowell, Rene Rochester, Francis Chan and others. Click here to learn about Josh’s seminar about teens.

One of the biggest items of the conference was the announcement that as of 2012, our new name will be “Cru”. This is a good thing and to learn why it is a good change, please click on this link.

Kim and the girls had a life changing experience during their missions trip to the Yucatan Peninsula. Our church, University Presbyterian Church partnered with Helping Hands Yucatan to share the Gospel with words, action and love.
